Most concrete repair call-outs trace back to one of a handful of causes — inadequate original base compaction, reactive clay soil movement, a tree root growing under the slab, or water pooling and undermining the base over years. Simply patching a crack without addressing why it happened usually means the same crack, or a new one nearby, reappears within a season or two.
We start every repair job with an honest assessment of what's actually going on. Sometimes that's a straightforward crack injection or joint reseal; other times, a sunken section genuinely needs levelling, or in the worst cases, a section of slab needs to come out and be repoured properly because the base underneath has failed beyond what a surface repair can fix.
